unable to uninstall PowerGui 1.5.5 Visual Studio Premium Extension

Oct 5, 2012 at 4:42 PM

Hi,

Sorry, I cannot uninstall the PowerGui 1.5.5 Visual Studio Premium Extension.

When trying with VS extension interface, a windowed prompt says "Cannot create a file when that file already exists"

When trying with "vsixinstaller.exe" command, I have a same result.

Have a look at the log file :

The same lines appears with VS ultimate, though I only have Premium installed (it's a known issue).

Can someone help me on the codeplexsphere ?

Thank you

Hey Cresendo,

I have no idea why it would do that but if you need to remove it by hand you get pull out the package registration in the registry. You could also use a tool I made to disable packages from loading: http://csharpening.net/?p=640

Although the bits would still be there it wouldn't load up at all any more.
